For those staying at the Ramada: a good-morning shuttle

Because the hotel is such a distance from the Oriental Institute, we've arranged for a shuttle to pick up attendees at the hotel each morning at 8 a.m. (so you can be in plenty of time for the first session and get a cup of coffee).

This service will be in place Thursday, Friday, and Saturday morning. Look for the Omega Shuttle van out front.

Return service is not provided, although the hotel offers a shuttle service, picking up at 58th and Ellis Avenue, at 1:10, 3:10, and 5:10 p.m.

A taxi between the Ramada and the OI should be $6-7, plus tip.

Here is one link to walking directions (and here's another); it's about two miles and about 40 minutes to walk from the Ramada to the Oriental Institute. The first link gives directions to walk along the lakefront; walking through Hyde Park is quicker, and it's clear from the second map what route to take.

Please let me know if you have any questions!
